𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: … 𝐈 … 𝐘𝐨𝐮 … 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 …

We are all flawed and live in a flawed society. Embracing our own imperfections and those of others, we realize we can create exactly what we envision together.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

• We are all born perfect.

• Then, as children, we learn by modelling the behaviors around us.

• We are master mimics, become flawed, and need to navigate the complexities of growing up.

• During most of our lives, we try to define who we really are and how to best live.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

• Anxiety takes hold of us when we think too much about future uncertainties.

• We often believe that we are not good enough.

𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

• We pursue being ‘good’ and strive for perfection as we hate being criticized.

• However, this drive can lead to overlooking our strengths and unique qualities.

𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

• In our desire to be perfect, we isolate ourselves.

• We often wear masks, and we tell ourselves untrue stories.

• Our perfectionism can lead to burnout and a diminished sense of accomplishment, despite successes.

𝐖𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐮𝐩 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥

• Wake up … Recognize and embrace your imperfections.

• Be more genuine, relatable, compassionate.

• Accept your flaws, open the door to learning, growth, and deeper connections.

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞

• Understanding that nobody is perfect serves as the foundation for reaching out, being supportive, and collaborative.

• Encouraging a culture where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities leads to innovation and a more resilient team.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 ‘𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬’

• Instead of viewing our flaws as negative, we can see them as part of our unique traits.

• Adding each other’s uniqueness and knowledge makes a powerful combination in a team setting, enhancing the possibilities for innovation and creativity.

𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

• Embrace the imperfections in yourself and in others.

• Focus on the good each one has.

• Create and act upon what everybody brings to the table.

• It took me time to discover how to deal with my imperfections; now I understand.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

• Reflect on the moments where your pursuit of perfection might have held you back.

• Consider how embracing imperfections could have changed the outcome.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

• The journey towards accepting our flaws is not easy, but worthwhile. It leads to a more authentic life and a healthier work environment.

• Let’s strive not for perfection, but for better understanding [each other] and continuous improvement – together.

• It makes realizing our visions and achieving our goals more possible.
