Edward - restless - senses his team wants to Be more … 🚀

It’s Sunday 


Edward feels restless 


He wonders how he can feel that


After an incredible week?



Everything went extremely well


The Monday morning meeting 


Very focused


Great commitments made.


Then the Tuesday meeting


Diving deeper into Strategy & Execution


Edward’s team understanding 


Better and better 


Leading an area means 


Being responsible for both


Strategy and execution.



Friday’s review meeting


More progress


Commitments surpassed by all


An incredible energy within the team


High fives and laughter


Great atmosphere …


But still


Edward’s nagging feeling started 


During the celebrations 


Of an incredible week.



Edward asked Sarah


How she felt after this week


Sarah said she is very proud of the group 


How everybody is pulling together


And creating progress and results


Unheard of before.



How should we look at that, Sarah?


How have we suddenly become so good?


Or …


Is it really a case of


Having aimed too low for so long?


Sarah smiled …


Edward, go home and enjoy


Your well-deserved weekend.


You are taking us and our division


To such higher levels.


Now …


Pause, rest, recharge and enjoy.



Even after a long walk with Athena


The border-collie


On Sunday, Edward felt restless.


Friday’s questions 


Were still circling his mind.


Had he been lowballing all the time


Doing as if all was going well


While it wasn’t?


Were they all behaving “as if”?


Questions, questions and more questions.



Edward’s insecurities flared up


For a long time, he hadn’t felt them


So strongly present.


Edward thought, much more than usual.


Then – as if hearing his own voice –


He realized Insecurity isn’t a weakness


It’s a signpost for growth.


Edward reframed his restlessness:



“Feeling insecure and seeing opportunity


Are so close to each other.


Come on, Edward …


This is a tremendous moment!


Aim higher. Be more.


Be all you can be!”



Edward smiled


Sensing a breakthrough.


He realized he could be more.


And suddenly, he sensed 


His team might feel the same.


They, too, want to be more.



Edward visualized 


Individual conversations with his team:


Clear, open, and forward-looking.


He knew these conversations


Would reveal the clarity 


Needed for the best next steps.



Another walk with Athena followed.


The day seemed brighter --


Or was it because Edward now saw 


Things differently?


He smiled, feeling confident about the path ahead.


This evening,


Edward knows he will find 


The next steps 


In the Theatre of his Mind.


He envisions his team: Becoming and Being More.
