When Edward realized you can’t ask for accountability … ❌

Edward's Stories # 7

There was one additional discovery

Which appeared in Edward’s mind

While visualizing and preparing

For meeting with his team on Monday.

Edward always knew deep down

He had to lead differently. Be less commanding

More open and be truthful.

This Sunday Edward saw … In the Theatre of his Mind

The better way. He saw and understood … It’s not about saying

What needs to be done. Edward saw and understood … It is not about saying You are accountable.

In the Theatre of his Mind

He saw now a new play.

A play of co-creation

Rich with understanding and connection Everyone feeling valued and empowered

Understanding each other

Knowing every one’s WHY. A new play Where all love to be in Contributing their best selves.

Why?

The Theatre of the Mind Showed so clearly: When organizational Why

And personal WHYs are aligned … Everyone sees and feels … It makes sense To be together, to co-create. Accountability replaced

By the desire to commit

To make the best happen.

Early Monday morning

Edward called his team

He explained the play

He watched the night before

In the Theatre of his Mind.

And yes …

He shared everything Including his lack of truthful leading. Edward explained

The Power of Visualization The Power of Reverse-engineering. He asked …

His team members To discover what they want The WHY which Makes them feel alive. He asked …

Them to find the reasons to co-create

What makes most sense.

Then …

Edward said … Imagine Just imagine …

[On Sunday] each one of us goes To their Theatre of the Mind.Visualizes the week ahead

Sees what one wants

To create and commit to that week. Just imagine … Then on Monday morning We all share our commitments. And then on Friday … We celebrate the achievements And learn together What went well, what we can do better. Just imagine … What we can create together.… Edward’s team members Imagined and committed.

P.S. Imagine yourself leading such meeting …
